Proof-reading is a less rigorous exercise than editing and is done with a different purpose. A proof-reader checks specifically for typos, missing text, and correct formatting. He is less concerned about the style or quality of the translation itself, which is the concern of the editor. A proof-reader may not even compare the translation line by line with the source.
Please keep this in mind when sending jobs to us for proof-reading.
Before accepting a proof-reading job, we will need to see the translated text or a sufficient portion of it. Often we will recommend you to get the translated text edited or even retranslated if it is too badly done.
We provide proof-reading services only in Hindi.
